Air Purifying Respirators – APR

C50

C50 C50a APR

Designed to give optimum protection, the C50 CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) mask is the complete next generation mask. The C50 CBRN mask provides high protection, outstanding field of vision and superior comfort. The C50 was developed by Avon Protection Systems for the military and law enforcement communities requiring NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) or CE certifications, making it the most versatile choice available for purchase by law enforcement, government agencies, hazmat and first responders. The innovative design enables the user to function effectively in the operational area, whether it’s for battlefield CBRN protection, specialist law enforcement or counter terrorism operations. With the appropriate filter the C50 protects against a range of CBRN threats including chemical warfare agents, toxic industrial chemicals (TICS), toxic industrial materials (TIMS), biological and radiological hazards, riot agents and nuclear environments.

Available with either a right or left handed filter mount, the dual port provides convertibility to a right or left handed user. It gives the best possible sighting position for shoulder-mounted weapons. The C50 CBRN mask when used with two filters, provides superior airflow and reduced user breathing resistance.

Powered Air Purifying Respirators

C420

C420 C420 w/ C50 APR PAPR

The C420 filters CBRN and other contaminants from ambient air and provides a constant, filtered airflow of between 115 and 140 lpm providing a higher safety factor due to positive pressure in the respirator.

The cooling effect of constant, filtered airflow into the respirator removes any potential for fogging, increases comfort and reduces pulmonary stress and any claustrophobic feelings, while conserving the strength and mental acuity of the wearer. It helps ensure mission success by extending operational endurance of the user and facilitates heavier work performance, even in humid, heated and highly stressful environments.

The C420 is available with 2 battery options that can be ‘hot swopped’ in a warm zone environment. The 10 year shelf life Lithium-Sulfur Dioxide battery delivers of 8 hours run time. The new Lithium Ion rechargeable battery delivers over 8 hours run time, ideal for training and frequent users.

The PAPR blower does not interfere with radio communications, as it is EMI shielded to MIL-STD-461C.

C420 PAPR Kit comprises of: PAPR blower, breathing tube, decon-belt, air-flow indicator, operator manual

ST PAPR

ST53 ST53

The ST–PAPR unit is modular and be attached to the ST53 SCBA configurations within a few moments using quick connect air line couplings. The addition of the ST-PAPR provides the additional levels of serviceability and comfort associated with powered air whilst still retaining the ability to switch instantly to the positive pressure SCBA mode when required.
  • The ST- PAPR has a remote on/off switch located on the mask hose connector enabling the ST- PAPR to be easily switched on and off.
  • A speed selector provides a high flow rate up to 165 liters per minute with a minimum flow rate of 125 Liters per minute at the lowest setting.
  • Lithium Sulfur Dioxide battery option with a minimum 7 hour battery life.
  • Lithium Ion rechargeable battery option with a minimum 6 hour battery life.
  • With the ST - PAPR the integrated CDV enables the user to switch instantly from powered air to positive pressure SCBA mode when required.

The ST53™ system provides the operator with total flexibility to select the necessary level of protection quickly and efficiently whilst continuing to operate effectively at an incident.

For the first time, the operational flexibility required by specialist users from their respiratory protection system is being offered in a purpose designed product. Depending on the threat or operational circumstances at the scene of an incident, ST53™ can be configured to provide the ideal protection mode. Seamless transition between APR protection (negative pressure) and SCBA protection (positive pressure) ensures operatives can maximize their time on scene, whilst ensuring that the very highest levels of protection are available.

Viking ST

ST

Law Enforcers across the U.S. helped design the innovative Viking ZST SCBA System to ensure tactical, SWAT, and CST teams, and bomb squads have not only the best, but also the most comfortable respiratory protection available without interfering with their mission critical activities. The system is NIOSH CBRN and NFPA 1981, 1982, 2002 Edition compliant providing the highest level of protection for the most volatile environments.

The Viking ZST comes standard with the low profile, optically correct AirSwitch facemask and includes the heads up display (HUD) to monitor cylinder pressure. With the HUD, all the user needs to do is glance at the in-mask display to see the level of air left in the cylinder. The low profile, mask mounted second stage regulator eliminates the challenge of docking a demand valve while saving critical time and air. The user can quickly switch from ambient air to cylinder air with a simple up or down push on the AirSwitch so air is always available. The built-in control console incorporates a voice amplification system (VAS) and the “stealth” button. One simple click of the button turns off the backframe flashing locator lights and VAS, and switches to radio communication through an ear-piece and in-mask microphone. Another click returns the unit to normal voice mode. The comfortable, ergonomically designed backframe and straps are designed to ride on your hips and not your shoulders, extending work time and limiting neck and shoulder fatigue.
